Quantum cascade lasers (QCL) are new innovative coherent light sources at mid infrared wavelengths. Due to the fact that these lasers emit in the spectral region of the fundamental vibrational transition of many gases (e.g. CO2 , NH3 , O3 ...) they are very attractive devices for spectroscopic applications providing high detection sensitivity.
nanoplus offers QCL-Fabry Perot laser based on GaAs and InP in the wavelength range from 5 µm to 10 µm. These lasers operate in pulsed mode at room temperature with output powers of a few mW. The standard packaging type is C-mount, but customer specific submounts are are available on request. Optionally a HR (95%) facet coating is available if higher output powers are required.
