Single mode quantum cascade lasers in the MID-IR |
nanoplus fabricates quantum cascade single mode lasers using distributed feedback structures as well as multimode Fabry Perot lasers. The distributed feedback grating selects one specific laser mode while suppressing competing modes. Quantum cascade (QC) lasers are innovative coherent light sources in the mid-infrared wavelength region. This wavelength range is of particular importance for:
• | gas sensing | | • | liquid phase sensing | | • | spectroscopy applications. |
| |
nanoplus offers single mode QC- Lasers at a variety of different wavelengths between 7µm and 12 µm.
The devices are typically operated in pulsed mode (pulse lengths around 100 ns) in the temperature range between -15°C (Peltier cooler range) and above room temperature (35°C). Tuning of the emission wavelength as required for most sensing applications is provided either by using the wavelength shift within the laser pulse or by a variation of the operating temperature. nanoplus QCL devices typically are mounted on C-mounts, other packaging options are available on request.
Further informations on nanoplus single mode QC Lasers is available in the following Data sheets.
